64-bit considerations

I wanted to share with you a situation I have found. I use Excel sources and Excel destinations sprinkled through-out my SSIS 2005 code. I prefer not to and simply ingest and export delimited text files (I find it to be a cleaner solution). I found that the Excel service providers in SSIS 2005 (and from what I can find, 2008 as well) do not have 64-bit components. What does this mean? It means that if you use Excel sources or Excel destinations in your SSIS package you need to run the 32-bit version of DTEXEC:
(C:\Program Files(x86)\Microsoft SQL Server\90\DTS\Binn\DTExec.exe)

NOT the 64-bit version:
(C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\90\DTS\Binn\DTExec.exe)
